Who is Jesus? (Part 2)
No matter what you have heard about Jesus, no matter what you believe about him—even if you have spent your entire life trying to study and understand the complexity of His nature—He is greater than you think He is.
He is greater than anything or anyone you can imagine because Jesus is the image of Almighty God, the Eternal One who exists outside the boundaries of time and space.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Long before you were born—long before anyone was born—Jesus existed. And long after you fade from the earth Jesus will still exist and be the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is nowhere you can go where He is not with you. Even if you wished to hide from Him, it would be impossible because He fills the heavens and the earth. In wonder at the constant presence of the Lord, the psalmist exalts, “If I go up to the heavens you are there, if I make my bed in the depths you are there, if I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
For the Christian it is a comfort to know that Jesus will never leave you—He simply cannot.
Surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
